Changes to Town and County Tax Bills
To all Livingston County Tax Payers:
We would like to inform all of our tax payers that the upcoming 2018 Town and County Tax bills will be of a different design than what has been used in the past. Your tax invoice will still provide all the same information as before, just in a different layout. If you have any questions with your tax bills please reach out to your town tax collector and they will be more than happy to assist you. In Livonia, please contact Town Clerk Colleen West Hay, RMC or Deputy Town Clerk Wendy Liesegang at 585-346-3710, ext. 3 with questions.
We wish you a happy and healthy New Year!
Livingston County Town Clerk and Tax Collector Association
The Livonia Town Clerk would also like to let Livonia property owners know that Livingston County is contracting with a third party vendor for the mailing of our tax bills. Banks' escrow companies are responsible for notifying the Town Clerk of the bills they intend to pay each year. This year, because of the new process, the Town Clerk received several lists too late to code them in the database in time for the printing of the bills. This means that many property owners will be receiving a tax bill even though their taxes are in escrow.
If this is the case in your situation, please be assured that we will be providing a copy of your bill to the escrow company for payment.
In addition, the automated printing/mailing process means that each bill will be sent in a separate envelope. In the past, if you owned several properties, we would try to put them together in one envelope to save on postage. Even though each bill will be mailed separately this year, we will still save on postage overall because we can now take advantage of bulk mailing services.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at the phone number above, and we will be happy to answer your questions.
