All dogs must be
vaccinated against rabies and have a current one-year certificate in
order to obtain a dog license. It is New York State Law that ALL dogs
must be licensed at four months of age and vaccinated by three months.
It is New York State Law that all cats and ferrets in the county, three months of age or older are to be vaccinated to prevent rabies.

NOTE: For animals
previously immunized against rabies, you must bring proof of
immunization to obtain a three-year certificate. If you you do not
provide proof, a one-year certificate will be issued.
