Mayor’s
Report for June 23, 2010
1.
This Mayor’s Report will mark a relatively new beginning since it
will be posted on the Town/Village Website. (Livoniany.org) We have
already made the Local Law #1-2010 available on the Building &
Zoning page of the Government section of this web site. As I attempt
to enter the 21st century, more information will be made
available on the site.
2.
Robbyn Haak has once again agreed to lead the “Autumn in the
Village” committee. This year she is joined by Betty Sawdey who
will be assisting Robbyn. The committee is always eager for new
membership. The festival is scheduled for the second Saturday in
September, 9/11.
3.
The Summer 2010 Newsletter will be in the mail within the next few
days. Along with the Newsletter there will be a copy of the newest
“Community Profile” and a copy of the “Village Walking Guide.”
Thanks to Bill Kurtz and Kathy Kurtz O’Neil for their work on the
“Community Profile” and thanks to Rob Dewey for his work on the
“Walking Guide.”
4.
I continue to have conversations with Robyn Carll and Scott
Bishoping regarding the telephone emergency alert system (Code Red).
The school district is willing to consider the Village’s
participation in their system. No decisions have been made. You
will be kept informed.
5.
Please remember that our two meetings this Summer are scheduled for
July 14th and August 18th.
